After 22 years as a Registered Nurse working in an LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum) unit, and 11 years as an IBCLC (international board-certified lactation consultant), I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in May 2024 with a master’s degree in a nurse-midwifery and I couldn’t be more excited to start this new chapter in my career.
As a lactation consultant and a labor and delivery nurse, I had the privilege of supporting mothers and infants during their breastfeeding journey, offering compassionate care and guidance where needed. This role affirmed my passion for women’s health and childbirth, inspiring me to pursue further education and training as a nurse-midwife.
I bring more than two decades of experience in healthcare, specializing in labor, birth, and lactation support. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to care for women through every aspect of their reproductive health journeys.
Outside of my work, my family and hobbies are an important part of who I am, shaping my perspective and enriching my life in meaningful ways. I have been married for over 20 years, to my husband, Craig, and am incredibly proud to be the parent of four wonderful children. My oldest daughter, Katelyn, was born in 2006, followed by my sons Austin in 2009, Collin in 2011, and Logan in 2013. Together, we enjoy a vibrant household filled with love, laughter, and the joy of watching our children grow and thrive.
Several hobbies bring me joy and relaxation. Sewing has been a creative outlet for me for many years, allowing me to craft personalized items and garments for my loved ones. Hiking, running, and biking are activities I enjoy with my family, where we can explore nature’s beauty and stay active together. Additionally, I am an avid reader, finding solace and inspiration in books across various genres.
I look forward to continuing to serve patients in my expanded role. Thank you in advance for your support and encouragement as I embark on this new and exciting chapter with FMCC.
