The Fertility and Midwifery Care Center Offers screening, counseling, and testing to diagnose hereditary cancer syndromes for women with a family or personal history of breast, ovarian, and uterine cancers.
Certain gene mutations are passed on among families that put patients at an extremely significant risk for development of cancer in their lifetime. A simple blood sample for BRCA testing and Lynch Testing can determine whether a patient has these mutations so that proactive steps can be taken to reduce their cancer risk or even to prevent cancer from developing altogether in themselves and/or their family members.
We suggest all women complete a confidential, secure online quiz customized for our practice that will communicate your results directly to Dr. Stroud.
After the results of your quiz have been evaluated, our staff will contact you to schedule a consultation visit to discuss your specific risks.
