Dr. Jill Stalling

Obstetrician/Gynecologist

I am a native Cornhusker, growing up as one of six children in the small town of Springfield, Nebraska. After playing three sports in high school, my passion for soccer led me to play at the collegiate level. After one year at Park College in Parkville, Missouri I transferred back home to play soccer at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha with plans to study nursing. After beginning my nursing studies, I felt a call to study Biological Sciences in greater depth and changed my major. During my senior year in college, I felt God calling me to medical school.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the College of Saint Mary in December 2001, I married my high school sweetheart, Brian. I began medical school at the Creighton University School of Medicine in the fall of 2002 while Brian worked as a cytotechnologist at Methodist Hospital there in Omaha. The Stalling family welcomed our first daughter (Katelyn) in June 2004 during medical school, then added 2 more daughters (Annmarie and Emily) to the family during my OB/GYN residency years at the University of Kansas-Wichita.

During my time in residency, numerous experiences lead me to a deeper conversion to live in full accord with my Catholic faith in the science and practice of obstetric & gynecologic medicine. It was in my search for authentic healthcare for women that I learned about the Creighton Model FertilityCare System and NaProTECHNOLOGY. This led me back to Omaha after residency to study at the St. Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction as I learned both Medical and Surgical NaProTECHNOLOGY under founder Dr. Thomas Hilgers.

My husband and I moved our family moved to Metamora, Illinois in 2011 after my fellowship as I accepted a position in a general OB/GYN private practice in Peoria and worked alongside midwives for the first time in my career. I truly enjoyed the complementary nature of a care model comprised of both obstetricians and midwives and learned a lot from my midwifery partners. I had the fantastic opportunity to work closely with Dr. Angela Martin for a few years in Peoria before Dr. Martin headed back to Indiana to join FMCC (she has since moved on to another practice). While in Illinois, our family grew with the addition of our sons Matthew, John Paul, and Bennett to even the playing field.

The desire for a NaProTECHNOLOGY and pro-life-focused practice led me in 2016 to OSF HealthCare in Peoria where I practiced clinical medicine and provided education on the Creighton Model and NaProTECHNOLOGY for clinicians throughout the health system. Despite enjoying my work with a Catholic health system, I missed private clinical medicine. I was deeply drawn to the Fertility and Midwifery Care Center with its authentic comprehensive care model utilizing an integrated approach to improve the lives of women, couples, and families. I have a passion for women and couples struggling with fertility challenges and feel blessed to utilize the gifts God has given me to serve them during their time of suffering. I am excited to live in Ft. Wayne and work alongside a dynamic team of clinicians.Â
