Tessa Offerle

Nurse Practitioner

I didn’t grow up in a medical family and don’t recall a conscious decision or moment in time that I landed on nursing as my path. I do remember being around grandparents in nursing homes and hospitals at times throughout my childhood and feeling that would eventually be my place. That undeniable draw to the art of nursing has been a comfort for me my whole life.

I grew up in a small town outside of Fort Wayne with 2 older sisters and an older brother. Despite an age difference of 10 years with my oldest sister, my siblings remain my closest friends. My parents have been married for over 40 years, and their marriage has served as a model and foundation for my siblings and me throughout our lives. While I was in nursing school at IU Bloomington, I met my husband. I convinced him to make Fort Wayne his home after a short stent of distance-dating while I returned home and took on my first nursing position with Parkview. That eventually lead to 4 years as an ICU nurse.  I had always been open to graduate school and pursing an advanced nursing degree if I felt the call to do so.  In 2021, that call came.  My first position as a Nurse Practitioner was with Parkview Cardiology working with heart failure patients, and I’ve enjoyed working and learning with an incredible team there over the past 3 years.

My husband, Anthony, and I married in 2019 and now have two children: a beautiful daughter born in 2021, Noelle, who is pure sunshine, and our son born in 2023, Thomas, who is a wild child.  We also have a golden retriever, Indy. Family time with each other and our extended families is our favorite past time. I also enjoying reading, hanging out with my high school girlfriends, and doing house projects.

Having two children myself with Fertility and Midwifery Care Center and Holy Family Birth Center, I could personally attest to the incredible care I received over the years. I feel extraordinarily lucky to be joining this team of professionals in caring for women and families with a God-centered, holistic, patient-focused approach.
