I completed my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Adelphi University in 2016. I moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana from Queens, New York in the middle of 2022 where I was graciously welcomed by all the providers at Fertility and Midwifery Care Center as a student, completing my graduate education in midwifery. I earned my Master’s of Science in Nurse Midwifery from The State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University in 2023. My nursing background is in both pediatric oncology and labor and delivery.
My patients would often be curious and ask why I made the switch to midwifery. I would tell them that as much as I loved being there for families on their worst days, I wanted to be a part of the story of a family’s best day…their child’s birthday! Of all the many options nurses have to advance their careers and do good, I felt called to be a midwife. Being a midwife means recognizing that being pregnant doesn’t equal being sick: it means trusting what the woman’s body was created for as well as their family.
I love spending time with my entire family: my amazing parents, siblings, and nieces and nephews. Whether in person or virtual, the time is cherished. In my free time, I like to bake, read, and travel. I’ve been on various medical mission trips to South and Central America and Africa. I treasure the lessons I learned and the people I’ve gotten to meet.
I have also been blessed with the opportunity to travel across the world to various countries to enjoy the natural beauty God created for us. I’m also excited to further my involvement in the church community here as my Catholic faith is central to my life.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your community. I’m excited to meet you!
