Lindsay graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. After a year of working as a Nurse, Lindsay decided to take a leap of faith and go back to school. She moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended Marquette University receiving a Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery. Shortly thereafter she passed the American Midwifery Certification Board examination to qualify as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
Lindsay initially worked in St. Louis, MO as a nurse on a medical oncology floor. There she was able to work closely with patients and their families, which she thoroughly enjoyed. However, her passion for labor and birth led to her decision to leave St. Louis and begin school at Marquette University. Throughout her studies at Marquette, Lindsay enjoyed researching natural labor and hydrotherapy, as well as the benefits of essential oils and aromatherapy. While attending midwifery school at Marquette Lindsay worked as a nurse on a busy labor and delivery unit at Aurora West Allis Hospital just outside of Milwaukee.
Lindsay and her husband Josh met in college at Valparaiso University and were married in 2013. Josh is the owner of the Personal Training Institute here in Fort Wayne (www.ptifortwayne.net). Lindsay joined the Fertility and Midwifery Care Center in early 2015 and with great joy she and Josh celebrated the arrival of their first child, Theo in September 2016. They are currently awaiting the arrival of their second child, a daughter in October 2018.
Lindsay enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and providing each one with unique and individualized care. She is a strong advocate for her patients and loves helping each woman and her family through their unique labor experience. “It is a privilege to be a part of such an awesome and special experience, and I look forward to helping families through this exciting time.” She loves being a part of the Fertility and Midwifery Care Center and providing exceptional, individualized care for women and their families throughout the continuum of their lives.
